Calling all Microsoft Dynamics NAV Partners and End Users

For years it has been the challenge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV partners and end users alike to establish and grow local or regional users groups devoted to the product that we all know and love. Thankfully the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Users Group (NAVUG) which was the brainchild of Todd Bergeson from Microsoft and Mike Ball from JR Simplot has been growing steadily over the last several years and their commitment to this community and passion for Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) has really paid off.

Calling Navision partnersThis year the membership in NAVUG ( almost doubled to over 700 members. The annual NAVUG conference (Forum) that just concluded in Vegas grew by almost 60 percent to over 220 registered attendees. The feedback from attendees was tremendous both in terms of the content delivered and the opportunity to network with their counterparts from other Microsoft Dynamics NAV end user companies. Every single person I spoke with reported that they had made invaluable connections or had picked up some great ideas to take home and implement in their own company.

While we have made significant progress in building a vibrant community we are only just getting started. While NAVUG has grown tremendously over the last several years the total NAVUG membership and participation at NAVUG Forum represents only a small fraction of the total population of partners and end user companies.

Our goal is for every Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) partner, Independent Software Vendor (ISV), and end user company that is committed to building their businesses either directly or indirectly on this amazing product will become an active member of NAVUG.

The value of what NAVUG is doing and can do for this community just can't be matched. I hope that anyone who would like to learn more will go to or contact me so that I can tell you more about why we need you in the community and how you can benefit.

Greg, my company is already a member of NAVUG. Is there anything as an end user we could do to promote the User Group? Typically, other users I meet are already members. Any ideas? Posted @ Monday, November 21, 2011 7:44 AM by Nettie Chronister

Nettie, great question. I think the best thing that end users can do is to encourage the partners and ISVs they work with to support NAVUG. We have seen a number of partners and ISVs become involved because their clients insisted on their support and participation in the NAV Users Group.
