What's New in Dynamics NAV 2013? - User Productivity Enhancements

This is the first in a series of brief videos that will focus on What's New in Dynamics NAV 2013 (Navision).

In this video I'll highlight the changes in the Action pane from NAV 2009 to the Ribbon in NAV 2012.

The main difference from NAV 2009 is that the Action Pane equivalent of the Ribbon was not present on the Role Center Pages in NAV 2009 but with the full blown adoption of the Ribbon in NAV 2013 it is now on every page of the application.

Also I'll demonstrate that in Dynamics NAV 2013 all applicable ledger entries are now accessible from the history section of the related department page.

This video will also review the Call-to options redesign which allows for an end user to call directly out of the application using the default communication provider installed on the local client.

This video will show the filtering enhancements on the lines of pages with header and line information as well as the ability to once again select all and copy and paste rows not only to external applications but to similar tables.

Finally I'll highlight the continued improvements in the application messaging functionality that is displayed via the message bar.  I hope you enjoy this video and stay tuned for more in the series.

You can also view this video along with many other Microsoft Dynamics NAV tutorials on ArcherPoint's YouTube channel.

The message bar and the drill down to additional information should make NAV so much more user-friendly when it comes to understanding the error messages.  That's a fantastic improvement!
