Happy Holidays from ArcherPoint

As 2015 comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership and give you an update on what we have been working on to build a better business. Our hope is that this work will continue to do the same for you and your business for years to come.

This year, we completed our transition to an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Program). I am absolutely thrilled that two-thirds of our eligible employees believe enough in what we are trying to build that they were willing to invest their own money helping us accomplish our vision. By the spring of 2016, our plan is that all of our current employees will be a part of the ESOP so that everyone you talk to will have not only an “ownership mindset” but actual ownership.

We are also working diligently on creating the next generation of talent through our summer internship program. With the added support this year of otherpPartners and competitors who participated, we had nine students from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Business join us for a 12-week program that included a 4-week boot camp. We were all amazed at the energy and collaboration the students brought to the program and were delighted—along with several of our clients—to see how well they performed in actual client situations. Two of them will be joining us on a part-time basis until they graduate in the Spring, and it is our hope to work with many of you to identify opportunities where they can bring tremendous value at a significantly reduced cost to you.

We are also beginning an organizational transformation designed to align the entire organization to serve you better. Over the years, we have moved towards greater specialization and focus around the core skill sets required to serve our clients. With any approach, there are benefits and drawbacks; while specialization has been beneficial, it also has a tendency to complicate collaboration. Interactions feel more transactional than relational, which is the exact opposite of how I want to characterize us. To structure ourselves more relationally, we are experimenting with team structures that put you, rather than internal departments, at the center of those structures. I wanted you to be aware of this so you can provide feedback, both good and bad, that will ensure the outcome of this transformation leaves us in a much better position to serve you well for years to come.

Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to serve you. We will continue to focus on improving our capabilities and increasing our capacity as well as delivering service that never loses sight of the relational nature of what we do and the trust that you place in us.
