ArcherPoint Dynamics NAV Developer Digest - vol 101

The ArcherPoint technical staff—made up of developers, project managers, and consultants – is constantly communicating internally, with the goal of sharing helpful information with one another.

As they run into issues and questions, find the answers, and make new discoveries, they post them companywide on Yammer for everyone’s benefit. We in Marketing watch these interactions and never cease to be amazed by the creativity, dedication, and brainpower we’re so fortunate to have in this group—so we thought, wouldn’t it be great to share them with the rest of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Community? So, the ArcherPoint Microsoft Dynamics NAV Developer Digest was born. Each week, we present a collection of thoughts and findings from the ArcherPoint staff. We hope these insights will benefit you, too.

Project Madeira

Saurav shares how Microsoft’s project “Madeira” just got better. First of all, ChargeLogic (payment processing) and Sana Commerce (eCommerce) Extensions are now available with project Madeira. Learn more from Marko’s LinkedIn post or on the Madeira site.

Productivity

Jon Long shares an “error message” he received when entering time worked over the weekend in Dynamics NAV: “You are registering time for a date that you are not scheduled to work. Thank you for your effort!” How nice is that?

Have you heard of Microsoft Planner yet? See how it can organize your team’s tasks and projects. The target release date is Q4 2016. This could be a game changer! Check out Microsoft Planner on YouTube.

Skype for Business in Office 365 allows you to leave messages for offline persons now. Nice!

Big News….Microsoft buys LinkedIn for a whopping $196 per share. There are definitely some synergies there with Microsoft’s goal to reinvent productivity. Think CRM and the O365 Suite where LinkedIn information is surfaced. The devil’s in the details, so integration is a big key for success.

Leadership

In his own words. ArcherPoint’s Dan Sass shares his experience with Tribal Leadership in this article, How Tribal Leadership Changed Our Organization and Me.
