Microsoft Convergence is No More - Introducing Envision

As we mentioned in January’s Better Business newsletter, during last year’s keynote at Microsoft Convergence, Microsoft announced it would be changing the format of the show for 2016. In a nutshell, we were informed that Convergence would be changing focus from product information to higher-level business leadership content. They encouraged users to attend NAVUG Summit in the Fall to get the product information and collaboration with other users that they seek.

Just last week, Microsoft announced that they are changing the name of Convergence to Envision. A move to drive home to those that haven’t heard – this is a new type of conference. So, don’t show up in New Orleans expecting to hear about all that’s new in the latest product releases, see product roadmaps, and play with Microsoft Dynamics NAV in the Solutions Experience center. What can you expect? In their flagship event for business leaders and decision makers, Microsoft promises to convey the latest trends and show you how to capitalize on them, explore disruptive technologies and successful strategies by industry and role, and offer opportunities to connect with other C-levels, innovators, and visionaries.

Also just recently, Dynamic Communities announced “DayONE” at Envision. This one-day session will offer product-focused content for the User Groups: NAVUG, AXUG, GPUG and CRMUG.

Is Microsoft Envision the right conference for you? Not if you want to immerse yourself in Dynamics NAV. But, if you want to learn how to run your business better – it might just be the thing for you.

I plan to attend Envision in New Orleans April 4-6. Let me know if you’ll be there, too!
