The Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) Community is the place to be!
Imagine if you will what could be accomplished in whatever industry you work in if competitors worked together to support each other, the customers that they mutually serve and the products they sell. You could almost imagine a world where everyone wasn't constantly rushing to offer the least service for the least price but instead leveraging the collective efforts of an entire community to create more opportunity for everyone involved.
As crazy as it may sound I believe the Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) community is increasingly becoming that type of community for both partners and end users. Within just the past week or so I have had the opportunity to talk with at least four different companies who would normally be considered competitors. We have all shared strategies, experiences, resources, and connections to help us win more business and improve how we serve our collective clients.
I've also had a number of conversations over the last few weeks with organizations outside our community who marvel at the amount of collaboration that goes on within the Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) community. I think the single biggest key to creating a mutually supportive community is holding fast to the belief that we are better together than we are apart.
While I wish everyone in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) community understood the importance of working together I realize that we still have work to do. All too often people and companies feel that collaboration and teamwork can't be achieved until everyone understands what it means to "play nice in the sandbox". However what I've seen is that it simply takes seeing an example of what the world can look like when we support each other. My hope is that in time even people and companies that still feel like it is them against the world will join me along with countless others in working to advance the dream of a collaborative community that is supportive and focused on growing opportunity for everyone involved.
