Once you are all set up, you can personalize your workspace for your preferences and workstyle with the personalization tool that is built directly into Dynamics NAV, all it takes is a few clicks to display the right data for your role and your business, or optimize for data entry in the browser. Microsoft has also improved the user interface making the entire NAV experience much more user-friendly.
Streamline Business Processes
New out-of-the-box Microsoft Excel report templates as well as deeper use of Microsoft Cognitive Services for image recognition of inventory Items and contacts. There are also added improvements to the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) capabilities with the Kofax Invoice Capture Service, for process improvement with digitized purchase invoices.
Microsoft’s Cognitive services use advanced algorithms, which allow users to amalgamate artificial intelligence into the applications. Automatic facial, speech, and language recognition can be employed in HR contexts and automate procedures. Product recognition places items in the correct categories by providing much more automation in product management.
Better Reporting Options
New embedded and contextually relevant Power BI reports, improving visualization and visibility within the most highly-used lists in Dynamics NAV. Also, new integrations with Microsoft Flow enable users to automate tasks directly in the context of their Dynamics NAV experience. Dynamics NAV 2018 also allows you to preview and print invoices, tax reports, balance sheets, any reports, directly from Dynamics NAV without having to download as a file.
