At ArcherPoint, we recognize and appreciate this highly engaged community’s creativity, hard work, and collective intelligence. To ensure all users can benefit from their expertise, we want to share their wealth of information with everyone.

New and deprecated features in BC 24 and AL 13.0

Natalie Karolak has posted a rather complete resource list of upcoming changes and new features for Business Central 24 and AL 13.0. Some of these have not been well documented by Microsoft. New and deprecated AL methods are also included.

Prepare for server changes coming to Business Central

Business Central 24 will have some new server changes that developers should know about. The first is that the Dynamics 365 Business Central will server run on .NET 8, giving that application increased performance and better memory management. Another enhancement is that Dynamics 365 Business Central server on-premises now requires Powershell 7.

Learn more about these and other (hidden) changes in BC 24 by reading Stefano Demiliani’s blog, Dynamics 365 Business Central 2024 Wave 1 release: important server changes to remember.

CentralQ and Copilot Chat: AI Double Trouble

Two AI applications that help with online documentation are CentralQ and Copilot Chat.

CentralQ helps users access information relevant to their unique Business Central setup from private documentation and community resources. Copilot Chat helps users quickly find guidance and answers about their data. Together, these two AI tools combine their strengths to help energize Business Central’s capabilities.

More on Copilot Chat

Roberto Stefanetti looks at Copilot Chat and Copilot Analyze List in BC 24. While Copilot Chat lets users ask questions about entities, look up documentation, and receive instructions on tasks, the Analyze List feature in Copilot lets users analyze data on list pages in Business Central. Learn about the new capabilities of both in Roberto’s blog, Business Central 24 Wave1 – Copilot Chat & Analyze List.
